Gentle Supreme Sdn Bhd has added beverage as the new category of product it is distributing in Malaysia. The company is the importer and sole distributor of products made by Indonesia’s Wings Group and is known for its Mi Sedaap instant noodles and Daia powder detergent. The new Floridina orange juice drink, first launched in Indonesia at the end of 2012, contains real orange pulps and orange juice from Florida oranges.
The introductory price for Floridina is RM 1.50 per bottle (NP RM 2.50) and is available at 7-Eleven Malaysia. Floridina is certified halal by the Malaysian halal certifying body JAKIM.
Floridina is expected to pose a strong challenge to Tropicana and Minute Maid in the orange juice drink category in Malaysia. We expect it do be a volume-killer, a role Floridina performed exceptionally well in Indonesia.
