Thai juice producer CHABAA will be selling Watermelon Dried Chips in Japan from 28 July 2020. The new watermelon snack uses Turkish watermelon known for its strong sweet taste. The dried watermelon chips are free from colouring and sugar. They can be sprinkled on yogurt or used as a topping in juice for the added texture. The 15g chips contain citrulline and lycopene.
Watermelon has appeared in many different types of foods and drinks but watermelon chips are new to Asia. This watermelon dried chip format serves as an inspiration for other snack producers to roll out similar dehydrated watermelon chips in the future to tap into better-for-you snacking.
