The bread maker, the biggest in the Philippines, said stock-up on essential items due to COVID-19 has led to a 35% spike in sales in the second quarter of 2020. As a comparison, sales rose by 5% in the first quarter of 2020. Gardenia would put off any price increase on its products until the end of 2020 to make life easier for most Filipinos.
