Soyou is the new non-alcoholic soju in Malaysia that is said to be Muslim friendly. Souyou is available in a classic green bottle (360g) and in the following flavours: Pineapple, Strawberry, Green Apple, Peach, Mango, and Grape.
The drink is described as the first non-alcoholic soyou in Malaysia. We have seen a similar trend in Indonesia where Muslim enterpreneurs have created their own non-alcoholic versions of soju. Mojiso (모지수) founded in Bandung, Indonesia has even managed to obtain Halal MUI certification for its drinks described as Korean sparkling water.
The wise move to do is to avoid mentioning soju but market these drinks as Korean carbonated beverages or as a sparkling water. In Indonesia, SOL-JU (살추) is described as K-soda.
Souyou is made by Soyou Beverages Enterprise located in Bandar Bukit Mahkota in Kajang.
