Themed ‘Modern Reunions’, the brand seeks to honour all kinds of reunions in an era where family gatherings may look vastly different for everyone. “It’s a proud moment showcasing our brand internationally in the bustling Tun Razak Exchange Mall. Our flagship store represents the start of a new dawn for Love, Bonito and is an elevated experience like no other, with its modern look and feel and thoughtfully curated designs like its spacious aisles and electronic queue system. More than just a physical space, this store will hold the largest range of assortment, and be the go-to destination for women’s community events and workshops.”
Embracing our Asian Roots
Beyond being the sixth and largest Malaysia store, the brand is going all out for its Lunar New Year Collection, where each outfit exudes the symbolism of unity through auspicious colours, exclusive in-house embroidery Opulent Florals, and brocade textiles Heirloom Botanicals and Rekindled Blooms.
Rachel Lim, Co-founder of Love, Bonito, shared that the brand prides itself on being founded for the everyday Asian woman and truly embraces the Asian heritage with this collection.
“Lunar New Year is an especially special occasion for all of us and we wanted to make this a meaningful experience for families going through various kinds of reunions, including new mothers, multicultural families, and even those that carry the weight of loss,” she says candidly.
“We took it up a level and truly embraced our Asian identity with inspiration from porcelain, jade, brocades and interpreted them with a fresh modern take. To also celebrate the importance of familial bonds, we have curated styles for dads and kids for that annual family portrait!”
The Ties that Bind Us
The one-and-done Yuri Asymmetric Drape Midaxi Dress is a modern take on the traditional cheongsam, with her draped neckline and full-length elegance, ideal for first day formalities. The embodiment of good luck and joy, Yanna Mandarin Collar Romper is a stunning piece to wear with its Mandarin collar, waist-cinching fixed sash, shorter length and side pockets for angbaos.
For the modern trendsetters, defy fashion norms with darker shades instead of typical reds for a chic look that transcends beyond the season: opt for the Mina Padded Tweed Mandarin Collar Jumpsuit which is perfect for after-parties and dinner outings with colleagues, or Mira Knit Midi Dress with a front hook and cut out for a new take on the classic cheongsam, plus a back slit for going all out.
