SINGAPORE, 15 MARCH 2024 – Grab a book, some small bites or try on Love, Bonito’s new Signatures collection at the brand’s first-ever shophouse takeover, titled The House of Love, Bonito. With a new tagline “Ready-to-live, not just ready-to-wear”, the space takes on the concept of a studio apartment that mimics the home of a multifaceted Asian woman. She is welcome to stress-test apparel that are functionally-crafted to tide through everyday moments, that includes hiding one’s bloat while sitting on a low sofa and indulging in a good ol’ bagel. Opening its doors to the public from 15 to 24 March, customers can also look forward to a meaningful programme lineup that includes personal sharing sessions with prominent guests as well as styling workshops from Asian style mavens.
On the opening night, the event was graced by top-tier guests from around the world, including Korean-American actress Arden Cho, mother-daughter duo Gym Tan & Mya Miller, Filipino content creator Kryz Uy, Chinese-American content creator Weylie Hoang, Hong Kong celebrity Grace Chan, Malaysian content creator Koe Yeet, Indonesian content creator Elxi Elvina, and Singaporean celebrity Munah Bagharib.
This is Home, Truly
Greatly inspired by our heritage, the House of Love, Bonito is designed with a home concept, and serves as a visual representation of Asian women’s everyday life. Walk through her living area, home design studio and wardrobe to discover how she lives in comfort while wearing the versatile Signatures collection. Customers can try on the new assortment, enjoy the Instagrammable space and bring home photo strips from the laundry-style photo booth! For those who are curious about the brand’s design process, the design studio showcases snippets from technical sketches to photos of fitting sessions done on real women across varying sizes.
Our favourite place might just be the kitchen. Starring our women-led local Asian heritage brands Ji Xiang Confectionery and Coffee Break, customers can enjoy local delights like traditional Chinese pastry ang ku kueh (aka red tortoise cake), kopi (coffee in Malay) and teh (tea in Malay). The brand has also thoughtfully included male allies into the conversation with contemporary bagelry Two Men Bagel House. Look forward to three exclusive flavours: Latkes & Beef Pastriami, The Asian Fit and Lau Pat Sat – customised for hearty conversations and new connections.
