Beverage brands in Thailand are adopting tethered caps as another measure to reduce plastic waste pollution. United Foods PCL launched All Spring, a new pH 8.0 mineral water at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2024. The mineral water comes with a tethered cap to ensure both the cap and the PET bottle are collected and recycled.
Oishi Group PCL has unveiled tethered caps for its RTD tea drinks in Thailand to increase the collection of plastic bottles and caps. Oishi’s PET bottles and bottle caps can be 100% recycled, and the use of a tethered cap is voluntary in Thailand.
Vittel is another mineral water brand in Thailand that comes in tethered caps. In addition to beverage players, retailers are expected to adopt tethered caps for their store-brand water products to improve their sustainability practices.
