Newest rooftop destination by The Marini’s Group opens its doors in Permata Sapura Tower

KUALA LUMPUR (18 November 2024) – ¡Hola, Kuala Lumpur! Escape the city rush and the ordinary when you step into Mesa on 51, the latest rooftop destination by acclaimed dining and conglomerate The Marini’s Group. The opening of Mesa on 51 in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre sees The Marini’s Group adding a Spanish touch to its portfolio of luxury F&B establishments.

Located on Level 51 of Permata Sapura Tower, Mesa on 51 is an entertainment and dining destination with stunning vistas of the Petronas Twin Towers, KLCC Park and other city landmarks. This contemporary venue consists of a Spanish cuisine restaurant with private dining rooms; an elegant Nikkei Lounge equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual light technology and boosted by the Void sound system; and the Terrace Bar with its covered and al fresco seating and panoramic views.

The new establishment celebrated its opening with a grand launch party on 11 November 2024, attended by invited guests which included some of the city’s haut monde. Guests were treated to performances by flamenco dancers and had the chance to sample Spanish and Nikkei cuisine while taking in the magnificent view around them.

“Mesa on 51 has been designed to provide guests with a multi-sensorial journey that whisks them away from the hustle and bustle of the city below to a rooftop haven with great music, mixology and Spanish cuisine in the centre of metropolitan KL,” said Cavaliere Modesto Marini, founder and owner of The Marini’s Group.

“We believe in constantly pushing boundaries and creating new exciting dining and entertainment experiences for local and international guests. We’re excited to introduce new types of cuisine at Mesa on 51 with Spanish and Nikkei dishes as our focus this time around. There’s also something to be said about the breathtaking views from the rooftops of Kuala Lumpur and Mesa on 51 offers an encompassing view of four of the city’s most prominent towers,” he added.

At the Mesa on 51 Restaurant, guests will be able to experience picturesque dining in the main room or private dining rooms while savouring classic Spanish dishes bursting with bold flavours. Sample a selection of tapas, enjoy paellas with varying depths of flavour, or indulge in hearty meats that include hanger and Picaña steaks, accompanied by sangria, cava or your libation of choice.

The Nikkei Lounge is a versatile space with panoramic windows that provide an unobstructed overlook of KLCC Park and the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. The sophisticated rose gold-sheathed interior contrasted by dark marble tables with gold edges, Chesterfield sofas and warm-hued high chairs makes the sleek and classy Nikkei Lounge the perfect place to unwind and chill in. Guests can enjoy the vibrant vibes and flavours while listening to music spun by local and international deejays – from imbibing classic and signature drinks to nibbling on delectable dishes from the wide selection of Spanish and Nikkei cuisine including signature tapas dishes, ceviche, maki rolls, mini burgers and more.

Meanwhile, the Terrace Bar offers a respite from the busy streets and a lofty view to watch the world go by from above. It’s the place to relax and enjoy crafted cocktails in an organic sky garden while looking out on the magnificent vista of the KLCC skyline as the evening colours change around you. Guests can either chill out in the outdoor section or settle in comfortably in the covered area, which has touches of flamboyance punctuated by splashes of colour, from the wide hanging light features to bougainvillea-wrapped pillars and mirror splashback at the stylish and elegant outdoor bar.

With vivacious vibes and endless possibilities for unforgettable nights under the stars, Mesa on 51 is the place to explore a world where the passion of Spain in all its glory comes to life right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
