Forging Partnerships and Shaping the Future of Hospitality: THAIFEX – HOREC Asia 2025 Sees Remarkable Growth of Visitors and Exhibitors by Over 20%

THAIFEX – HOREC Asia 2025 saw a total of 19,454 unique trade attendees, coming from top international markets – Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore and China. This year’s edition saw a 23% increase in unique trade attendees and 30% increase in exhibitors.

Bangkok, Thailand, 10 March 2025 – The future of hospitality came alive in Bangkok, Thailand last week at THAIFEX – HOREC Asia 2025, one of the most influential hotel, restaurants and catering (HoReCa) trade events in Southeast Asia over 3 event days from 5-7 March, welcoming 19,454 unique trade attendees  a 23% increase from the inaugural edition  representing 87 countries and regions. This year’s show also saw 466 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions, with international exhibitor participation rising by 28%.

The unique trade attendees at THAIFEX – HOREC Asia 2025 include more than 600 top-tier buyers, facilitating 2,408 pre-arranged meetings  a 47% increase from last year. This further establishes THAIFEX – HOREC Asia as a key strategic platform in the region for business-driven innovation and deal-making opportunities.

In line with its theme, “Shaping the Future of HoReCa”, THAIFEX – HOREC Asia 2025 addressed global trends in sustainability and digital experiences with an exceptional showcase of eco-friendly solutions and cutting-edge technologies. Featuring new highlights such as Tech Lounge and Asian Pizza Show Academy, visitors experienced next-generation hospitality and food service innovations that bridge the gap between concepts and real-world applications.

A strategic platform for partnerships and deal-making

Hosted Buyers Programme: A prime hunting and networking ground for industry leaders, emerging players, and key decision-makers, THAIFEX – HOREC Asia 2025 witnessed the most number of invited buyers this year.

“THAIFEX – HOREC Asia provides an important platform for Vietnam as we get to meet new partners and suppliers to learn about the latest technology and equipment. In this year’s hosted buyers programme, we have engaged in multiple meetings and secured deals valued close to USD 5 million in chinaware and supermarket equipment, such as chillers and refrigerators, to support our expansion plans,” said Nguyen Duc Quynh, Chairman of Danang Hotel Association and Chief Executive Officer of MENAS Vietnam.

Tech Lounge at THAIFEX – HOREC Academy: A new highlight for 2025, the Tech Lounge is a dedicated space showcasing AI-powered automation, contactless service and data-driven solutions to enhance business operations. Rachael Lee, Head of Business Development at FutureLog appreciated the opportunity to speak to business owners interested in utilising technology to accelerate efficiencies.

“The Tech Lounge is a dedicated platform for us to share about our technology solutions beyond just conducting one-to-one meetings. We are seeing the shift in focus towards more automation, AI and digital transformation at THAIFEX – HOREC Asia this year, because technology is absolutely necessary in the HoReCa industry,” said Rachael Lee, Head of Business Development of FutureLog AG.

Asian Pizza Show Academy: The newly added supporting programme featured a special curation of suppliers, master pizzaiolos, and advanced pizza-making equipment together with live masterclasses and hands-on tastings. Together with Bellavita, a global leader in Italian gastronomy, this programme enhances Southeast Asia’s booming pizza market with expertise and experience.

THAIFEX – HOREC Innovation Awards: The second edition of the awards attracted 125+ entries, with 26 finalists and 10 winners recognised for outstanding solutions that set new standards in quality and sustainability.

“The THAIFEX – HOREC Innovation Award is a recognition of the work that we have done, not just for the development, but also in the marketing of our product. This is our first time participating in THAIFEX- HOREC Asia and it has been a positive experience meeting with potential partners – it is not just about the number of meetings we have, but the quality of the people we met with. Events like this give us an opportunity to meet with people from around the region at one place,” said Andrea De Dea, Export Sales Manager of Giorik.

Increased Global Participation: Close to 63% of exhibitors this year were from international companies or brands, reaffirming Thailand’s position as a regional powerhouse and strategic hub for hospitality.

“We have arranged more than 30 meetings with potential buyers and have had promising discussions with many of them who are learning about our products and technology from Europe for the first time. THAIFEX – HOREC Asia is a good platform for us to connect with potential partners from Thailand and Southeast Asia, and we’re going to come again next year,” said Peter Cairoli, Chief Executive Officer of Gastros Switzerland.
