8 March 2025, SINGAPORE – Over the years, we have seen a significant rise in women taking on diverse roles in aviation showcasing their growing impact in a highly male-dominated industry. In celebration of International Women’s Day, Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), takes to the skies with an all-female crew onboard a special operated flight TR676/677 from Singapore to Chiang Mai, and back.
Captain Vanessa Khaw and First Officer Robyn Alexander led the dedicated all-female crew, made up of six skilled members including Malaysian crew member Siti Zubaidah, a seasoned professional who has been with Scoot for more than six years. “My journey at Scoot has only been one of growth and inspiration. With great mentors and a supportive team, I’ve learned that with passion and determination, women can soar to great heights in aviation and beyond,” shared Siti, when asked about her thoughts working in aviation.
As the world celebrates International Women’s Day, Scoot reaffirms its commitment to fostering an environment where all individuals, regardless of gender, can thrive and pursue their dreams in the aviation industry.
