In Indonesia, Forisa, the maker of Anget Sari, a warming instant drink made with natural ginger extract, has recently rolled out Anget Sari Empon-Empon. The new powdered drink contains red ginger, kunyit (curcumin), temulawak (Javanese ginger), lemon grass and cinnamon.
This drink is described as drink for the “new normal,” alluding to its functional role during the current pandemic.
Here the drink taps into the familiar JKT (ginger, turmeric and Javanese ginger) and made it suitable for the younger demographics to suit their active lifestyle.
