KUALA LUMPUR, 2 SEPTEMBER 2024 – McDonald’s Malaysia once again extends its community initiatives under the Program Komuniti @ McDonald’s & RMHC by contributing breakfast meals – McDonald’s Sausage McMuffin and Hash Brown to uniformed personnel as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication in safeguarding the nation’s safety and security as part of the Bulan Kemerdekaan celebration.
In conjunction with Bulan Kemerdekaan, McDonald’s Malaysia has provided 15,000 breakfast sets to the heroes and heroines of uniformed bodies such as the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), and the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM). These meals were distributed in the week leading up to Hari Merdeka by McDonald’s Malaysia employees who visited selected stations near their restaurants.
As a locally owned company, McDonald’s Malaysia carried out this initiative as part of its efforts to make a positive impact on the communities surrouding its restaurants, while also demonstrating its commitment to serving all segments of society, including uniformed personnel.
“The spirit of patriotism can be expressed in many ways to express our love for the country. Which is why, it is important for us to recognize that the peace we enjoy today is made possible by the tireless efforts of our heroes who protect our nation’s security around the clock, allowing us to go about our daily lives in peace. McDonald’s Malaysia extends its deepest gratitude to these uniformed heroes for their dedication,” said Dato’ Haji Azmir Jaafar, Managing Director and Local Operating Partner of McDonald’s Malaysia.
“On this occasion, McDonald’s Malaysia would also like to wish everyone a Happy 67th Hari Merdeka. As a locally owned company, we remain committed to supporting Malaysians in socio-economic and welfare areas for those in need. This principle reflects our dedication to showing our love for the country by giving back to the community that has supported us for over four decades of operation in Malaysia,” added Dato’ Haji Azmir Jaafar.
