A Grand Beginning: Chinese New Year in the Sky
To mark the beginning of this milestone year, Resorts World Genting will host Chinese New Year in the Sky, a grand lineup of celebrations from 10 January to 16 February 2025. Join us at the Arena of Stars for an exciting countdown to Chinese New Year from 6pm to 1am.

Golden Hour Grab & Win for Gold Ingots

Celebrate the Year of the Snake with the Prosperity Path Challenge, a modern twist on the classic childhood game “Snakes & Ladders” with prizes up for grabs.
To participate, guests need to spend a minimum of RM288 (max 2 receipts) at participating outlets to earn an entry. Present your receipt(s) at the Information Counter on Level 1, Zouk Atrium, SkyAvenue, and roll a virtual dice to advance across the digital game board. For the first five days of Chinese New Year, at 3pm, 6pm and 8pm, the Arena of Stars comes alive with remarkable performances, including appearances by Choy San Yeh (God of Prosperity), fairy dance showcases and lion dance stunts.

Cable Car Extended Operating Hours
To celebrate the festivities and ensure guests can fully enjoy the Chinese New Year celebrations at the top, the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Cable Car (previously known as Awana SkyWay), including Chin Swee Station will operate from 7am to 11pm daily from 30 January to 6 February 2025.
Special extended operating hours from 7am to 1am will be in effect on 28 January, 29 January and 2 February 2025 (Chin Swee Deity Birthday Celebration).
On 5 February 2025 (Bai Tian Gong at Chin Swee Caves Temple), the operating hours will be further extended from 7am to 1:30am.
The Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car (previously known as Genting SkyWay) will also operate daily from 9am to 11pm between 29 January to 6 February 2025.
