Over 40 top-performing sellers recognised for their achievements in eCommerce

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 July 2024 – Lazada, one of Southeast Asia’s leading eCommerce platforms, today celebrated the remarkable achievements of its top-performing sellers at its inaugural Lazada Seller Summit 2024 held at One World Hotel. Over 40 sellers across a variety of categories including fashion & beauty, home & living, electronics, and groceries among others were honoured for their outstanding growth and success on Lazada’s platform with various awards throughout the event.

The summit, which is not unlike the company’s annual Masterclass of previous years, was attended by over 1,000 sellers from all over Malaysia and was officiated by YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Malaysian Minister of Digital. In addition to the presentation of accolades, sellers were also engaged in a full-day of diverse programs featuring insightful presentations and interactive panel discussions.

Key topics such as digital marketing strategies, logistics optimisation, and customer engagement tactics were explored in depth, equipping attendees with useful strategies, best practices, and know-how to enhance their businesses in the competitive digital landscape. Attendees also had the opportunity of connecting with Lazada and eCommerce industry leaders, fellow sellers, and seasoned Lazada Certified Trainers.

Throughout the events at the Lazada Seller Summit 2024, international brands such as Dyson, HP, Huawei, LEGO, Samsonite and Samsung were among those recognised for their achievements. Local brands such as Montigo and NEUTROVIS were also presented awards such as Most Loved Lifestyle Brand Partner and Most Loved Home-Grown Brand Partner respectively. Senheng was celebrated as the Most Loved Retailer Brand Partner for exceptional service and customer loyalty.

Sellers like ALDO, Baseus, Big Pharmacy, Olaplex and Pop Mart also walked away with awards befitting their success on the platform. Among the many recipients, Adam Zero and Bite a Snack were two that stood out for their high product quality and seller ratings, as well as their consistent and steady growth on the Lazada platform.

“I began my journey as a Lazada seller in August 2021 during the pandemic, specialising in men’s clothing. The community’s support, including the guidance received from its Facebook page admins, Lazada Trainers, and other sellers has been invaluable. Through Lazada’s training, I’ve mastered the intricacies of platform workflows, from keyword selection and ad performance, to campaign submission and finance analysis. I am committed to assisting other sellers, as sharing knowledge fosters growth and cultivates a supportive, mutually beneficial community,” shared Timmy Kok, owner of Adam Zero and winner of the Community Champion award.

Emerging Seller award winner, Dixon Chai, the owner of Bite a Snack, expressed, “Amidst the uncertainties of 2020, ‘Bite a Snack’ emerged from Ipoh with a mission to reconnect people with traditional tastes. These awards were presented to sellers as a reflection of their commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction, setting benchmarks for future achievements in the marketplace. Additionally, awards were also presented to livestream hosts who had contributed to the growth of Lazada’s platform.

Pasir Ris Mall Celebrates Successful Grand Opening as the Newest Hub in the East

The grand opening of the mall marks a milestone for the Pasir Ris neighbourhood, paving the way for forthcoming attractions such as the upcoming Town Plaza, the Pasir Ris Integrated Transport Hub, and more

Singapore, 22 July 2024 – Pasir Ris Mall, the latest addition in the East of Singapore, jointly developed by Allgreen Properties Limited and Kerry Properties Limited proudly celebrated its grand opening today. The grand opening was officiated by Guests of Honour, Mr Teo Chee Hean, Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, Mr Desmond Tan, Senior Minister of State, Prime Minister’s Office, and Mr Sharael Taha, Member of Parliament, Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC.

Since its soft opening on 12 June 2024, Pasir Ris Mall has quickly become a vibrant hub for both Pasir Ris residents and visitors, offering a diverse mix of retail, dining, and entertainment options. Shoppers can look forward to a range of exciting developments that will establish Pasir Ris Mall as the neighbourhood’s new focal point.

More facilities in and around the mall will progressively be available in the years to come, starting with a new polyclinic set to open at the end of 2024, and the forthcoming Pasir Ris Integrated Transport Hub, which will include a new bus interchange in 2025 as well as the future Cross Island Line, which will be directly accessible from the mall’s basement. In 2026, the mall’s Town Plaza will be complete to allow larger gatherings.

Pasir Ris Mall’s commitment to making a positive impact on the environment is exemplified through its sustainable building materials and environment-friendly fixtures. The mall has integrated advanced technologies to minimise its ecological footprint, including energy-efficient light fittings, high performance glasses for greater thermal resistance, a highly-efficient air conditioning system that ensures optimal energy usage throughout the mall, as well as solar-powered landscape lighting. Lifebuoy Champions Hand Hygiene for over 440 young students, supported by MOE, MOH and Guardian Malaysia

Lifebuoy Malaysia successfully launched the “H for Handwashing: Little Hands, Bright Futures” at SK AU Keramat on 23rd July 2024 (Tuesday), supported by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, and Guardian Malaysia to bolster hand hygiene practices in Malaysian schools.

The “H for Handwashing: Little Hands, Bright Futures” campaign reiterates Lifebuoy’s mission to instill lifelong handwashing habits and improve personal hygiene care to foster a healthier tomorrow.

Kuala Lumpur, 24 July 2024 – Despite the simplicity of handwashing, it remains critically neglected. This neglect contributes to the spread of communicable diseases such as Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD), which notably increased among Malaysian children in 2023. In a significant effort to improve personal hygiene among the youth, Lifebuoy is supported by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Ministry of Health and Guardian Malaysia to bolster hand hygiene practices in Malaysian schools.

This campaign is part of a broader initiative to educate children on the importance of handwashing with soap. With the support of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health, the “H for Handwashing: Little Hands, Bright Futures” held at SK AU Keramat included a Glo-Germ demonstration by Dr Aen Saari. One of its targeted hygiene education programs showcased how germs are invisible to the naked eye and taught schoolchildren the 7-step handwashing routine. The demonstration also highlighted the importance of washing your hands with soap, taking Lifebuoy one step closer to their ongoing mission of instilling lifelong handwashing habits from a young age.

Lifebuoy, in partnership with Guardian, donated 550 personal hygiene care packs to the students of SK AU Keramat, reinforcing their dedication to promoting hygiene and well-being in the community

Lifebuoy’s H for Handwashing program targets schools, as they play a crucial role in instilling lifelong healthy habits. For over a decade, the integration of hand hygiene education into students’ daily routines has been supported by the Ministry of Education with the aim to embed these practices from a young age. Hand hygiene is essential for maintaining a healthy learning environment. One of the main concerns is student absenteeism due to illness, which significantly impacts their future. Therefore, the program modules were co-developed with the Ministry of Health to ensure accurate knowledge sharing to teach children the importance of proper handwashing with soap while reducing instances of absenteeism due to illness and promoting better academic performance.

Nurturing the Future of Hand Hygiene from the Early Years

Students of SK AU Keramat dance to ‘Mari Lebih Sihat’, a tune created by Lifebuoy to remind students of good hygiene habits in a fun and catchy manner.

Despite the simplicity of handwashing, many people have yet to adopt the habit of handwashing. However, recent studies showed that habits can form within 18 days with continuous practiceI, Lifebuoy’s ongoing mission has led to implementing targeted hygiene education programs to instill lifelong handwashing habits from a young age, fostering a healthier future through sustained behavioral change.

Retail Collaboration with Guardian

Guardian is also supporting Lifebuoy by donating Guardian Vitamin C Gummies as part of their care packs.
