New Wall’s Mochi Musang King, Wall’s Hokkaido Milk & Mochi and Magnum Matcha Crumble

Unilever Malaysia has rolled out three new ice cream in the local market. The new Wall’s Mochi Musang King (50g) is made from 100% Musang King. Wall’s has in the past introduced Wall’s Mochi Durian Matcha and Wall’s Mochi Durian both in 2020. This time, the Mochi Musang King uses premium Musang King durian.

Unilever has introduced Wall’s Hokkaido Milk & Mochi ice cream, a delightful treat that combines the rich and creamy flavor of Hokkaido milk with a sweet and chewy mochi inclusion.

Moreover, the new Magnum Matcha Crumble is an East-meets-West ice cream with velvety smooth matcha ice cream coated with Magnum’s iconic thick cracking Belgian chocolate and crunchy Shortbread crumble.

New Wall’s Feast Duo and Joyday Rocket Star ice cream launched

Wall’s latest ice cream in Indonesia features the taste of double chocolate. Priced at IDR 5,000, Wall’s Feast Duo has crunchy peanuts for the extra mouthfeel.

Joyday, meanwhile, has three new ice cream products – Joyday Crunchy Cookies Cream, Joyday Choco Crunch (IDR 3,000) and Joyday Rocket Star.

CCEP-Aboitiz plan to buy Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) and Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc. have entered into a letter of intent with The Coca-Cola Company to purchase Coca-Cola Philippines in an acquisition worth USD 1.8 billion. Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines’ FY2022 revenue stood at around USD 1.7 billion with a PBT of USD 90 million. Upon the completion of the transaction, CCEP will hold a 60% stake, while Aboitiz will have the remaining 40%.

CCEP operates in 29 countries including Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Fiji and Papua New Guinea.

Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines’ volume by category: cola (42%), flavours, mixers and energy (35%) and hydration (23%). According to Nielsen, Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines has a sparkling value share of 69% in 2022 and 43% of non-alcoholic ready-to-drink (NARTD) value share.

The Philippines is the second largest market in Southeast Asia after Indonesia.

Anchor Cheddar Cheese now available in Indonesia

Fonterra has recently launched Keju Anchor Cheddar (Anchor Cheddar Cheese) in Indonesia. Anchor, known for its butter, is now available in cheese to provide consumers with another choice. The demand for cheese is growing in Indonesia as consumers increasingly use cheese in various food and drinks.

Anchor Cheddar Cheese is described as milky and creamy and is made from milk from grass-fed cows. The cheese is available in 150g packs.

Some FamilyMart stores in Thailand rebranded under Tops Daily

Central Retail, which owns the FamilyMart convenience store chain in Thailand, is rebranding some of the current FamilyMart stores into Tops Daily. However, iconic products like bento will still be sold. According to CRC’s latest data, the group operates 409 convenience stores in Thailand. Both Tops Daily and FamilyMart operate under the ‘proximity store’ concept with Tops Daily having a bigger outlet size.

It has been confirmed that FamilyMart is exiting the Thai market after its franchise agreement with local retailer Central Group ended in late May, as reported by Nikkei.

Lotte Vietnam Co., Ltd. has launched Bouchee cake and Chocolate pie under the Lotte Chocolat brand. Lotte Chocolat is a combination of high quality chocolate, delicate soft cake and fluffy marshmallow in every bite.

Chocolate pie is manufactured at Lotte Vietnam’s latest factory in the southern province of Binh Duong, which is the second factory in Vietnam after the one currently producing Lotte Xylitol gum. The new factory will produce Bouchee cake and Chocolate pie under Lotte Chocolat brand.
