Heen showcases Pinkme and Blueme functional drinks

Heen, the powdered drink with a deep pink and blue hues from South Korea, was showcased at the Malaysian International Food & Beverage (MIFB) trade show held recently in Kuala Lumpur on 12-14 July 2023.

The drinks are described as colour therapy and are naturally coloured with red beet and blue spirulina powder to deliver health benefits and visual appeal.

Pinkme is a drink with a pink colour with functional ingredients to moisturise the skin from within. Pinkme contains vitamin C (1,000mg), fish collagen, red beet, hyaluronic acid and ceramide, 9 kinds of amino acid and taurine.

Blueme is for fast recovery and contains vitamin C (1,000mg), blue spirulina powder, plum extract, 9 kinds of amino acid and taurine.

Kawan Food has new range of plant-based snacks

Malaysia’s Kawan Food has launched three new plant-based snacks comprising Vadai, Falafel and Purple Sweet Potato Fingers. Vada is a category of savoury fried snacks native to South India, while falafel is a deep-fried ball or patty-shaped fritter of Arab origin.

Kawan Food has earlier made available its meat-free nuggets.

Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam debuts Nutriboost Cookie and Cream

Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam has launched Nutriboost Cookie and Cream. The new milk and juice drink offers the indulgent cookie and cream flavour and the Energyze-blend to deliver the goodness of milk to Vietnamese consumers.

Nutriboost Cookie and Cream has a mild cream cookie taste. The drink contains reconstituted apple juice (10%) and reconstituted milk (19%).

In Indonesia, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners PLC mentioned in the Jefferies Key Drivers Virtual Conference that company has a narrow range in dairy (Nutriboost) but was surprised that dairy has performed quite well for them.

Green Rebel Foods launches Heat & Eat Eggless series

Indonesia’s Green Rebel Foods has recently launched the eggless version of its Heat & Eat range. The series comprise Eggless Balado (Red Chilli) and Eggless Cabe Ijo (Green Chili).

Green Rebel’s Heat & Eat Eggless series contain 0% cholesterol, is high in protein and fiber, and low in saturated fat. It is also free of MSG, preservatives, and refined sugar.

Heat & Eat Eggless is a plant-based, shelf-stable meal with a shelf life of 1 year, making it easy to carry around.

New OT Chizmill Balls uses Italian Grana Padano cheese

Orang Tua (OT) has launched Chizmill Balls as the new addition to the Chizmill wafer series in Indonesia. Targeting Gen Zs and Millennials, the new ball-shaped Chizmill Balls uses Italian Grana Padano cheese, a cheese originating in the Po river Valley in northern Italy.

Chizmill Balls has two variants Truffle Gana and Grana Cheese. The truffle version taps into the trending truffle flavour in the snack category.
